As your baby grows, the number of naps naturally changes – and the app helps you transition smoothly to fewer naps over time. If the recommended number of naps doesn’t quite match your baby’s current routine, you can easily adjust it yourself.
How Does the App Determine Nap Count?
The app analyzes your baby’s sleep patterns and suggests an optimal number of naps based on their age and past sleep data. However, every baby is different! If your little one is ready to drop a nap earlier or later than expected, you can manually adjust the settings.
How to Change the Number of Naps:
1️⃣ Open the Happy Baby app and go to Profile → Your Sleep Schedule.
2️⃣ Tap on Nap Goal.
3️⃣ Select the number of naps your baby currently takes and adjust if needed
4️⃣ Toggle Force number to ensure the app calculates based on your selection. Save your changes – the app will automatically update sleep recommendations.
When Should You Adjust Nap Count?
- Your baby fights the last nap or takes significantly longer to fall asleep.
- Night sleep has become more disrupted, with frequent wake-ups or earlier mornings.
- Your baby has longer wake periods between naps and seems ready for a schedule shift.
What Happens After You Adjust It?
The app will help guide you through the transition by gradually increasing wake windows and adjusting suggested sleep times.
If you're unsure whether your baby is ready to drop a nap, try the new schedule for a few days – the app will adapt as needed!
